How to disable Roam smart tracker?

Disabling the Roam Smart Finder

The Roam Smart Finder can be disabled to stop it from sharing its location. Once disabled, it will no longer report to Google's Find My Device network, and the owner will no longer receive location updates.

If you receive a message on your Android device that a Roam Smart Finder has been detected near you and you are not familiar with it, you can make the device play a sound through the system notification. After locating the item, follow the steps below to disable it. The owner will no longer receive updates on its location, and it will no longer trigger unknown tracker alerts.

How to Disable Roam

Option 1: Using the Button

  1. Locate the button in the center of the Roam Smart Finder.
  2. Press the Power Button 5 times in 2 seconds. The device will start beeping about 3 seconds.
  3. The Roam has been successfully disabled.

Option 2: Removing the Battery

  1. Twist open the bottom cover of the Roam Smart Finder.
  2. Remove the CR2032 coin battery.
  3. Close the Roam by aligning and twisting the bottom compartment back into place.

How to Re-enable Roam Smart Finder

Option 1: Press the Button

  1. Press and hold the button for about 5 seconds.
  2. You’ll hear a confirmation sound indicating the device is re-enabled.

Option 2: Reinsert the Battery

  1. Twist open the bottom compartment.
  2. Insert a CR2032 coin batterywith the positive (+) side facing up.
  3. The device will emit a sound confirming it's active again.
  4. Close the compartment by twisting it clockwise until it locks into place.
  5. If you do not hear the confirmation sound, please follow Option 1 to operate

How to enable identification 

  1. Press the Power Button on the Roam Smart Finder 6 times in 2 seconds.
  2. The Find Hub APP will redirect to disablement instructions URL.
