How to disable and Re-enable Roam smart tracker?
Disabling the Roam Smart Finder
The Roam Smart Finder can be disabled to stop it from sharing its location. Once disabled, it will no longer report to Google’s Find My Device network, and the owner will no longer receive location updates.
If you receive a message on your Android device that a Roam Smart Finder has been detected near you and you are not familiar with it, you can make the device play a sound through the system notification. After locating the item, follow the steps below to disable it.
⚠️ Once disabled, the owner will no longer receive updates on its location, and the tracker will not trigger unknown tracker alerts.
How to Disable Roam
Option 1: Using the Button
- Locate the button in the center of the Roam Smart Finder.
- Press the button 5 times within 2 seconds.
- 🔊 The device will start beeping after about 3 seconds, confirming it is disabled.
Option 2: Removing the Battery
- Twist open the bottom cover of the Roam Smart Finder.
- Remove the CR2032 coin battery.
- Close the Roam by aligning and twisting the bottom compartment back into place.
How to Re-enable Roam Smart Finder
Option 1: Press the Button
- Press and hold the button for 5 seconds.
- 🔊 You’ll hear a confirmation sound indicating the device is re-enabled.
Option 2: Reinsert the Battery
- Twist open the bottom compartment.
- Insert a CR2032 coin battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
- 🔊 The device will emit a confirmation sound when active again.
- Close the compartment by twisting clockwise until locked.
- If you don’t hear the confirmation sound, repeat using Option 1.
How to Enable Identification
- Press the power button 6 times within 2 seconds.
- he Find Hub app will redirect you to the disablement instructions page.
